We're Brenda and Michael, a husband-and-wife team, and we have a confession to make: We love snacking. In fact, we’ve been known to finish an entire "family-sized" bag of chips in a single sitting.

We wanted those bold, salty, savory flavors, but we also needed real, premium nutrition. The problem? Every high-protein snack on the market tasted like a chalky chocolate candy bar, while traditional savory snacks like chips just offered empty calories that left us running on fumes. We wanted a savory snack that actually packed a nutritional punch. We refused to compromise.

So, we decided to make The Better Snack ourselves.

We cleared off the single counter in our tiny, 300-square-foot micro-apartment kitchen and got to work. We spent countless hours blending real, bold spices with high-quality protein to create a bar that delivers the satisfying, salty crunch of chips, but with the fuel your body actually deserves.

Today, we’ve graduated from that micro-apartment to a professional commercial production facility. But while our kitchen has gotten a lot bigger, our obsession remains exactly the same. We still make every bar for the dedicated snacker who wants incredible flavor and clean nutrition (no trade-offs required).
